Brief Bio:
C.K. Toh received his Ph.D. degree in EECS from King's College Cambridge, Cambridge University, England in 1996. He had also attended a course at Harvard Law & Business School. He was with Advance Logic Research, Archive Tape Drives Corp., Hewlett Packard, and NCB prior to his Ph.D. Back in USA, he was with Hughes Research Labs, then professor at GeorgiaTech, adjunct professor at U C Irvine, Research Director TRW Tactical Systems Inc. (now Northrop Grumman Corporation, USA). He has consulted for KDDI Telecom R&D Labs, Telefunken Gmb, Nortel, Hughes, Mitsubishi, IPEverywhere, Acaia Tech, EBA Systems, Covergence Corp., etc. He was also an Honorary Full Professor at The University of Hong Kong. In 2004, he was appointed a tenured Chair Professor at the University of LONDON (UK). He had held visiting professorships at YALE (USA), OSAKA University (JAPAN), KTH (SWEDEN), FUDAN (CHINA), KNU (KOREA). He enjoys writing technical books, programming, wine, music, biking, and jogging by the beach.Cambridge classmates.
